Holly Adams Offerings

Through a series of meditative activities, including qigong and other energy awareness practices, participants will nurture their intimate connection to the natural world, cultivate their inherent capacity to be creative, and make art (to take home) based upon their experiential exploration. Along the way we will draw inspiration from the stunning desert landscape of Pond Estate. No previous art or qigong experience is necessary.

Tech/Set up needs:
The ability to show slides/images would be great. So, a screen where I could connect my laptop would be great.

Bio:
Holly W. Adams holds a B.F.A in Ceramics and Drawing, plus a Teaching Certification, from Seton Hill University; and an M.F.A. in Ceramics from West Virginia University. She has served as an elementary school teacher for twenty years and currently works as a 1st-4th grade art and global goals teacher. Holly also works  as an independent artist and offers lesson to adults in her home studio. She integrates qigong, nature, and self-discovery into her work. Being in nature is one of her great passions. For Holly, teaching is a pathway for students’ genuine growth and transformation. Likewise, in her own life, she is always eager to explore, stretch, learn, and grow. Traveling in the USA, Europe, and Asia has informed her teaching in profound ways. Holly was awarded the distinguished  Fulbright-Hays Scholarship in 2024. Holly most recently completed an artist residency at Touchstone Center for Crafts, where she worked on a drawing project while basking in the energy of an enchanted forest and the magical waters of McIntyre Run. She lives with her beloved husband, two marvelous teenage children, and two sweet black dogs in the beautiful woods outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
